On Wednesday, September 17th, the Hollywood Creative Alliance (HCA) is proud to announce the nominees for the inaugural Astra Podcast Awards. The ceremony will take place in Los Angeles on Monday, October 27, 2025, with the venue, host, and honorary award recipients to be revealed on Friday, October 3, 2025. Final voting will take place in the next two weeks among HCA committees.
Film Obsessive Editor in Chief Don Shanahan is an active member of Hollywood Creative Alliance. We are happy to report that his podcast, Cinephile Hissy Fit, co-hosted by former Film Obsessive/25YL writer Will Johnson, which is sponsored by Film Obsessive Radio and produced by the Ruminations Radio Network, was nominated internally for “Best Member Podcast” from a pool of regularly content created by active HCA members.
Celebrity nominees for the inaugural Astra Podcast Awards include Alex Cooper, Amy Poehler, Bowen Yang, Brett Goldstein, Jake Johnson, Jason and Travis Kelce, Joel Madden, Khloé Kardashian, Kristin Davis, Maurice Benard, Taylor Lautner and many more. All nominated podcasts will automatically be eligible for the Podcast of the Year Award, which will be presented live during the ceremony on October 27.
