Coyote vs. Acme: Alexis Bonhomme on His Big Break in Animation, Foghorn Leghorn, and “Miracle Movies”!

Next year, you’ll see the talents of Alexis Bonhomme as an animator, especially in scenes with Foghorn Leghorn, in the film, Coyote vs. Acme (2026)!

In this interview with Jamie Lee, Bonhomme discusses the many different and specific jobs under the umbrella term “animator,” using puppetry, costumes, and more to animate in conjunction with live action footage, Foghorn Leghorn, his work on another “miracle movie,” not wanting to spoil the best parts of the movie, and more.

Look for a guest appearance from Bonhomme’s dog, Elsa!

Those of you who’ve seen our interview with actor Steven Ray Byrd will notice that both Byrd and Bonhomme have very amusing stories about working with Foghorn Leghorn.

Thank you to Alexis Bonhomme for this interview.

Stay tuned here on Film Obsessive for Jamie Lee’s continuing coverage of Coyote vs. Acme leading up to its worldwide release on the big screen on August 28, 2026!
