Anora and Pretty Woman Make For a Cinephile Hissy Fit Double Feature

The hosts of the Cinephile Hissy Fit podcast, sponsored and supported by the Ruminations Radio Network, love chances to play cinematic chefs of sorts. Like a good entree and matching wine bringing out fuller flavors, movies of similar themes can be paired for an excellent and delicious double feature. For many viewers of Anora, the recent Oscar winner for Best Picture, little fantasy flutters of sex worker memories brought to mind Garry Marshall’s classic Pretty Woman. Our podcasts partook in that very pairing.
