We mention it in the introduction each time, but on of the defining characteristics of the hosts of the Cinephile Hissy Fit podcast, sponsored and supported by the Ruminations Radio Network, is the fact that they are working fathers. Both really set out to make special moments of either introducing their own favorite movies to their next generation or finding big screen experiences worthy of new memories. Thanks to a special Star Wars anniversary, an opportunity came for both of those things, along with content for a good podcast episode.

For their 112th episode, two Force-sensitive critics, two influential dads, and two Ewok-loving teachers, Will Johnson and Don Shanahan turn back the clock forty years for the anniversary of Return of the Jedi. The (sometimes maligned) “Special Edition” of the trilogy finale recently dropped back into theaters as both our hosts took their children to see it on the big screen and get a nostalgia ride of their own. Hear them talk about their experiences young and old with arguably the most entertaining Star Wars movie to date. Come for the shared challenge and tirade and stay for the mutual love and respect for the fun movies encapsulate. Enjoy our podcast!
