If you remember the last episode of the Cinephile Hissy Fit podcast, 25YL film critic Don Shanahan said that Marvel’s never really made a “bad” movie when talking about Iron Man 3. The new Phase 4 movie Black Widow landed in the bottom five of Marvel Cinematic Universe films for him. Much to anyone and everyone’s surprise, even Marvel shill Will Johnson had to give this new blockbuster a jaded pause. Now that’s saying something!

Will and Don say even more than that for their 15th episode of Cinephile Hissy Fit. The setup and timing of this recording is fun and it comes through in the recording. Don had seen Black Widow for press a week earlier. Will saw the movie opening night and rushed home late to get on the mic completely fresh and still processing his thoughts. The rawness made for a spirited episode that every Marvel fan needs to listen to.
