Catching up from a post-Thanksgiving holiday pause, the Cinephile Hissy Fit podcast returns to crack the whip and get back to the content business. In 1984, pop culture was at the peak of its powers during the excessive devil-may-care grandeur of the 1980s. Part of that year’s buzz was the first Indiana Jones sequel, Indiana Jones and the Temple of Doom, which did its part in adding more budget and spectacle to the reimagined adventure serial started in Raiders of the Lost Ark. Until the legacy sequels showed up in 2008 and 2023, this one was the most maligned entry of the franchise. That creates cause to talk about it.

Everyone involved, from filmmakers Steven Spielberg and George Lucas to the game cast of Harrison Ford, Kate Capshaw, and Ke Huy Quan.
