The Cinephile Hissy Fit Is Quick to the Draw With Desperado

The cover photo of the Cinephile Hissy Fit podcast

Back in January for their 100th episode, the hosts of the Cinephile Hissy Fit podcast, sponsored and supported by the Ruminations Radio Network, each shared their Top 100 all-time personal favorites. Those lists have kicked up a few fires of inspiration, be that for a shared title or something one or the other hasn’t seen or valued the same way as their co-host. In the first of two upcoming episodes, the highlights of Antonio Banderas come into play.

For their 109th episode, two husky-voiced film critics, two gun-totting dads, and two non-Hispanic teachers, Will Johnson and Don Shanahan pull their opinion pistols out of their holsters to take about the non-classic shoot ’em-up Desperado from 1995. Don had this very high on his 100th episode “Top 100” favorites list and wrote a 25th anniversary piece on the movie three years ago here in Film Obsessive. Will wanted to talk more about what all the bullets and buzz was about. Come for the shared challenge and tirade and stay for the mutual love and respect for the fun movies encapsulate. Enjoy our podcast!
