Some people may only think of Keanu Reeves as one half of a stoner duo who flew around in a telephone booth collecting historical figures. Others may just think of him as Mr. Anderson, Neo, flying around the world of The Matrix fighting for freedom. Some may think nothing of him at all, since the last movie had him carrying Winona Ryder away from a mountain lion in the rom-com Destination Wedding.
I on the other hand am a fan, have always been a fan, and count Keanu Reeves as a breath of fresh air when it comes to what we think of Hollywood celebrities. Reeves had been known for years as being one of the most generous actors in Hollywood and elsewhere. Like that time he gave up his subway seat in NYC.
Well to say that I am excited about John Wick Chapter 3-Parabellum would not begin to cover it. I watched the first one – may Daisy forever rest in peace—and was shocked how much I enjoyed it. I have not caught up with John Wick Chapter 2 yet; I plan on doing that post-haste, but now with the trailer dropping for John Wick Chapter3, let the game begin! We have Ian McShane, Halle Berry, a Matrix reunion again with Lawrence Fishburne, and John’s pit bull that he picked up at the end of Chapter 1, which tells me I can watch Chapter 2 without my heart being broken. We also have the edition of Anjelica Huston, Asia Kate Dillon, Mark Dacascos (for those of you Food Network fans, the Chairman of the rebooted Iron Chef) and Jason Mantzoukas from The Good Place and The League.
May 17, 2019 needs to get here pronto. We need more Keanu kicking his way through the Continental and taking us along for the ride. With dogs.
