Coming Soon to Theaters: Greyhound

Two time Academy Award winner Tom Hanks writes his first feature-length film in nine years with the World War II action/drama Greyhound. Harkening back to an earlier Hollywood age, albeit with state of the art visual effects, this claustrophobic nail-biter looks to bring war films back to the high seas. Directed by Academy Award winner Aaron Schneider (Best Short Film, Live Action: Two Soldiers) and starring Hanks, Elizabeth Shue and Stephan Graham, Greyhound hits theaters this summer.

The official synopsis for the film:

“In the early days of WWII, an international convoy of 37 Allied ships, led by captain Ernest Krause (Tom Hanks) in his first command of a U.S. destroyer, crosses the treacherous North Atlantic while hotly pursued by wolf packs of Nazi U-boats.”
