The hosts of the Cinephile Hissy Fit podcast sponsored and supported by the Ruminations Radio Network, were formed as two film critics who know how to battle even when they should be playing on the same side. Thanks to Twitter, they were built on combative disagreement. So, when Alex Garland’s Civil War came around here in the Spring of 2024, a mini-war over podcast microphones was bound to happen. Sure enough, they recorded it and brought in extra film critic reinforcements.

For their 154th episode, two apolitical film critics, two American dads, and two special forces teachers, Will Johnson and Don Shanahan, stage their own divide for Civil War from the well-regarded Garland. To do so, they bring in a pair of critical combatants to double the talk and double the bloodshed.
