For a while now, the hosts of the Cinephile Hissy Fit podcast, sponsored and supported by the Ruminations Radio Network, have maintained two different levels of fandom and respect when it comes to the vaunted and successful Marvel Cinematic Universe. Lately, Don Shanahan has felt and spoke on the so-called “fatigue” and saturation of IP that has made Marvel’s offerings rushed, convoluted, and less special than they used to be. In contrast, Will Johnson has long-been the courageous, flag-waving, and self-titled “Marvel Shill.” This month, cinematic fate may have dealt a blow that leads him to drop that label and nickname.
