The Worlds of Blade Runner and Ben Cahlamer Return to Cinephile Hissy Fit

The Cinephile Hissy Fit cover photo for the Blade Runner 2049 episode.

Last week, Phoenix-based film critic Ben Cahlamer joined hosts Will Johnson and Don Shanahan on the Cinephile Hissy Fit podcast as their first guest to share some mutual love and respect for 1982’s original Blade Runner. For our 18th episode, Cahlamer joins us again for the second of two special request episodes, this time covering Denis Villeneuve’s long-distance sequel Blade Runner 2049 from four years ago. Heady science-fiction fans, this episode is for you.

Will comes in with the masterpiece guns blazing and considers it his #1 movie of all-time. By constrast, Ben and Don throw less bouquets in Villeneuve’s direction than the boisterous Mr. Johnson. What was rich last time on the Cinephile Hissy Fit gets a little more spicy this time around. We thank Ben Cahlamer for being the first CHF guest and bringing his astute expertise and enthusiasm!
