Last week, Phoenix-based film critic Ben Cahlamer joined hosts Will Johnson and Don Shanahan on the Cinephile Hissy Fit podcast as their first guest to share some mutual love and respect for 1982’s original Blade Runner. For our 18th episode, Cahlamer joins us again for the second of two special request episodes, this time covering Denis Villeneuve’s long-distance sequel Blade Runner 2049 from four years ago. Will comes in with the masterpiece guns blazing and considers it his #1 movie of all-time. By constrast, Ben and Don throw less bouquets in Villeneuve’s direction than the boisterous Mr. Johnson.
